A Proposed Idea

July 24th – August 10th, 2019 

Starting from a proposed ideal, Ian’s works arrive at completion and resolution from a process rich with pragmatism and reflection. Deliberately conceived with a delicate and often multi-panel picture field, Ian endeavours to bring a fragile and tenuous order to deliberately awkward compositions.  This experience is presented for the viewer’s consideration as a painting with a frame.
