AMARIE BERGMAN hi-fi: no.2

“I entertain visibility and invisibility via materials and ideas. Although I make art objects, it is the immaterial sourcing and even a kind of sorcery that are the attraction.”1

By flipping the standard ‘background’ context within Five Walls Project Space 4 to an integral presence, its interior architecture becomes a spatial accomplice for geometric minimalism. Through this intervention, a deliberate entanglement appears to be logical, yet Amarie Bergman interprets “high fidelity” to this site-specific location as intuitively experimental. Because the site is responded to like this, and redefined through simplicity of non-objective work, then some unusual things happen, including a synchronous space-time and a poetic streamlining.

hi-fi: no.2 honours the architecture in this unique space with an engagement that accentuates experiential reality.
