Patricia Todarello
Topographical
22.05.19 – 08.06.19
Topographical by Patricia Todarello is a body of work that examines the temporal nature of the viewing plane, in the effort to create translations of form and space through the vertical and horizontal point of view presented on a flat surface. Informed by the seriality of industrial/commercial architectural forms, Topographical exploits the unpredictability and chance elements with the intention of sensitising the viewer’s experience of similarity and difference.
Patricia Todarello’s practice addresses the temporal through painting installation and photography. Her works reveal the impermanent, material and temporal nature of the artwork. Patricia has conducted solo shows and has been included in group exhibitions in most capital cities around Australia including; SNO and First Draft in Sydney, Contemporary Art Services in Tasmania, ACGA Gallery, Kings ARi, The Front, and SHIFTED galleries in Melbourne. As a writer and arts commentator, she has published critical works through Un magazine. Patricia is a current sitting member of the Five Walls Selection and Advisory Panel.
