I usually make flimsy sculptures from what I have at hand and then notate the results in oil paint. They’re based on rubbish; I make them in a rush and then watch them for weeks. The paintings become a record of what happens in that time. These current collages are an attempt to create a space inside each image in which any object could decompose in its own way. Each of them are an attempt to insinuate an oozing, messy, wet object that could then become a still life.  They were a prelude to my recent series of paintings and this is a good opportunity to show them together (at last!).
