HOW IT HAPPENED HERE is a two person exhibition of drawings by David Palliser and Julia Powles. A desire to disrupt known understandings of abstraction imbues the practice of both artists, as discrete codes of visual language synthesize and overlap – formal relationships emerge and are subverted, exposing an intuitive, known or felt understanding of subject matter and materials.
