In 2018 I noticed that a small number of shapes were insistent in my imagination. The shapes had become a summary of the figure from previous drawings and paintings. I discovered that pinning cloth binding on to a surface allowed me to explore the parameters of these shapes with great flexibility. Adhesive tapes then came in to play as a means of further defining their presence. Variations of the key shape have developed. They are forms capable of absorbing and expanding upon a dialogue with myself. A means of responding to and integrating events in the present with memories and cyclic experiences.
