Moments to Regard
01.08.14 – 30.08.14
Suggestions of space and scale, light and time Moments to Regard at Five Walls Projects introduce my first observations and initial creative inquiry that resolved through a three month occupancy at a private commercial property in West Melbourne that I committed to leasing out and trying something different. I wanted to work large scale and needed a substantial amount of time to work this out. I knew that I would not have this opportunity through a traditional gallery space and it did not suit the purpose. My first day in the space produced a series of photographs I documented the space and began to think about what I wanted to do. These first impressions photographs and installation works that I present at Five Walls Projects are a prelude to the final site-specific photographic and installation works that coincide for view as an exhibition at the actual private commercial property in West Melbourne.
