Architectonics 22: Radiant Notation
(A Performative Drawing)

September 11th – October 3rd, 2026

Architectonics 20: Radiant Notation proposes an original system of visual notation in which the black grid functions as both architectural framework and choreographic score. In dialogue with the spatial pathways of Feuillet notation (c-1700), the measured intervals of musical composition and Sol LeWitt’s instruction-based systems, these works establish potential conditions through which movement is imagined, organised and reconfigured. A continuum. Diagonals become vectors of direction, intervals become measures of relation, and empty spaces become sites of pause, anticipation and choice. In one work, the six-pointed star acts as a spatial compass, orientating movement through six directional axes. The system remains constant while each sequence remains open to variation. As in music and dance, improvisation occurs within structure. The black grid ceases to be a fixed geometry and becomes a notation for possibility, perception and continual transformation.
