Natalie Mather
Badland
09.12.20 – 26.12.20

Taking their cue from the badlands, a terrain characterised by steep and unforgiving angles, a proliferation of odd formations, and striking colouration; Natalie Mather’s paintings in badland are a study in imaginary geography. Mather uses a fantastical approach to gravity and spatial logic to construct speculative vistas that oscillate between surface and depth, synthetic and natural, built and erased.
