Artist Carlo Golin and musician Bill McDonald have been working together for over 40 years. They first collaborated in 1981 at The Australian Sculpture Triennial, Latrobe University, Bundoora.

Using the working name for their collaborations I saw the figure 5 in gold, the way they work might be termed ‘non-dependent collaboration’. “We feel free to make remarks; we trust each other, having developed projects in this way multiple times before”.

For this show, from separate beginnings, they have devised two bodies of work that come together in a display of fascination for the seemingly mundane.
